# Settings

> Saving platform settings requires the `super_admin` role.

## Settings groups

Controls reflect the setting type: text/number fields or a checkbox for booleans. Saving submits only the active group's inputs; switching tabs without saving leaves those unsaved edits unsubmitted.

## Save changes

1. Select a group.
2. Read every setting label and description.
3. Change only the required values.
4. Save the active group.
5. Check the success alert.
6. Reopen the group to verify the stored values.
7. Test the effect in the related operational area.

The save button does not submit inactive groups.
