# Loyalty

## Overview and Programs

Overview summarizes program metrics and recent ledger activity. Open Programs to review existing programs and create a new program. Ensure a program is active before making a manual adjustment.

## Member ledger

1. Open a member and check their identity, balance, and point history.
2. Enter a signed point amount: positive to add and negative to deduct.
3. Record a clear reason.
4. Save and verify the ledger entry and final balance.

A deduction cannot result in a negative balance; the system rejects it without creating a ledger entry. Manual adjustments change a customer benefit and require appropriate internal authorization.
